How Your Purchase Makes A Difference 💚

Posted January 18, 2022

At Vedge Nutrition, we understand the power of our customers' purchasing decisions and strive to make a positive impact on the world through our business. That's why we're proud members of 1% for the Planet, an organization that connects businesses with non-profits working to tackle our planet's most pressing environmental issues. Through our membership, we've had the opportunity to partner with the International Anti-Poaching Foundation (IAPF), a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting endangered wildlife and their habitats.

We believe that it's our responsibility to give back to the planet, and that's why we've pledged 1% of all sales to animal and agricultural relief through our membership with 1% for the Planet. This means that every purchase made at Vedge Nutrition is not only nourishing for you, but also making a real difference in the world.

We are proud to support the IAPF and the important work they do to protect endangered species and their habitats. Recently, we made a donation to the IAPF on behalf of our customers, and we were thrilled to hear that our donation has been matched by another generous donor, up to $10 million. This means that your purchase has twice the impact in protecting these magnificent animals and their habitats.

The IAPF currently protects 5 million acres of land in Botswana, an area about the size of the state of New Jersey. This protected land is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including a large concentration of lions and wild dogs. The photo of two lions is from one of the newest protected areas in Botswana, highlighting the importance of these efforts in preserving these magnificent animals.

The other photo is of the IAPF's K9 unit returning from patrol at their Phundundu camp in Zimbabwe. This unit plays a vital role in the fight against poaching, using specially trained dogs to track poachers and illegal hunting activities. Your purchase is helping the IAPF invest in further infrastructure, including technology, to enhance their anti-poaching and law enforcement activities.

We are grateful for the work that the IAPF does to protect endangered species and their habitats, and we're proud to support their efforts through our membership with 1% for the Planet. Every purchase made at Vedge Nutrition is an investment in the protection of these magnificent animals and their habitats, and we're honored to play a small part in making a difference. Thank you to our customers for making this possible and to the IAPF for their tireless efforts to protect endangered species and preserve the natural world for future generations. We hope your purchase brings you not only nourishment but also the peace of mind that you are making a real change in this world.

Creatine + The Brain: Why Creatine is a MUST HAVE

Commonly used by gym rats and fitness fanatics, creatine is undoubtedly the king of all nutritional supplements, and for the right reasons. It’s well-researched to support the body’s energy needs safely and effectively and has an extraordinary ability to help us exercise longer and harder while increasing our muscle gains. Additionally, as scientists continue to expand the research horizons, another noticeable effect of creatine has recently surfaced: cognitive support. As we add this to the list of benefits creatine provides, it can be very helpful to understand its precise effects on the brain.

The Importance of Supplements for Athletes

The point of deliberate exercise is to induce a workload on our bodies so that we adapt to similar stresses in the future. After we break down the body, it immediately works to repair itself. An important distinction with any type of training is that we never grow while we work out; only when we rest and recover. The right supplements and nutrition like calcium, magnesium, vitamin C and vitamin E are just a few highlights that help repair the body for the next stress load.

The Secret to Gaining More Muscle - Macro Edition

Macronutrients are the nutrients we need in larger quantities to provide us with energy, and are categorized as fats, proteins and carbohydrates. Micronutrients, conversely, are mostly vitamins and minerals, and are equally important, but consumed in smaller amounts. Thankfully, eating a wide variety of foods on a regular basis allows us to hit both our daily macronutrient and micronutrient needs.
