Through our membership, we've had the opportunity to partner with the International Anti-Poaching Foundation (IAPF), a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting endangered wildlife and their habitats.
We believe that it's our responsibility to give back to the planet, and that's why we've pledged 1% of all sales to animal and agricultural relief through our membership with 1% for the Planet. We are proud to support the IAPF and the important work they do to protect endangered species and their habitats. Recently, we made a donation to the IAPF on behalf of our customers, and we were thrilled to hear that our donation has been matched by another generous donor, up to $10 million. This means that your purchase has twice the impact in protecting these magnificent animals and their habitats.
The IAPF currently protects 5 million acres of land in Botswana, an area about the size of the state of New Jersey. This protected land is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including a large concentration of lions and wild dogs. The photo of two lions is from one of the newest protected areas in Botswana, highlighting the importance of these efforts in preserving these magnificent animals.
The other photo is of the IAPF's K9 unit returning from patrol at their Phundundu camp in Zimbabwe. This unit plays a vital role in the fight against poaching, using specially trained dogs to track poachers and illegal hunting activities. Your purchase is helping the IAPF invest in further infrastructure, including technology, to enhance their anti-poaching and law enforcement activities.
